We’re proud to announce that Dr. Norman Spivak has been awarded a National Institutes of Health (NIH) F30 research grant to support his cutting-edge work in focused ultrasound neuromodulation using the BrainSonix system. NIH funding for this project reflects national recognition of Dr. Spivak’s leadership in translating focused ultrasound technologies toward understanding and potentially treating brain dysfunction.
Dr. Spivak’s project focuses on visualizing and targeting neural circuits with LIFUP, which could provide unprecedented precision in modulating deep brain regions involved in emotion, cognition, and behavior. This work builds on his broader scholarship in the field, including contributions on frameworks for delivering and validating focused ultrasound neuromodulation across research and clinical contexts.
BrainSonix congratulates Dr. Spivak on this achievement and looks forward to the insights and innovation his work will bring to the neuromodulation community and beyond.
